Bad homeschooling mommy! So much for updating every week. Well, this week is a new week and perhaps I'll do better at reaching my goal this time!

Life with the Boutte Clan has been full, busy, and good. At the end of the day today, we will have completed 72 days of homeschooling and nearly a dozen field trips. We are continuing to fall in love with homeschooling and our new lifestyle more and more every day. It makes for a busy and fun schedule. I thought I had enough extra time planned in our schedule for lots of off days to do field trips and park days and such, but a few unplanned trips to Houston for medical care on my BAHA site has eaten that up quickly. We are now only 4 days behind so are catching up quickly. We could really use a few rainy days to help catch up even more, but not this week!

Our latest great field trip was actually only partially planned. The dogs had vet appointments at the beginning of the month and that turned into a field trip of its own. Dr. Scott and Ms. Chloe spent a lot of time with the girls letting them help examine the dogs, explaining what they were doing and the tools that they were using and even letting them help with test results including looking a slides. They had a great time learning. It was wonderful!

As we await Thanksgiving later this week, I am filled with humbleness and thankfulness at this wonderful opportunity that our family has. We are truly blessed with the opportunity and ability to homeschool, be such a part of eachothers lives, share adventures in life, growth, and fun daily, and continue to fortify our strong foundation of faith, marriage, and family. God is so SOOO good! May you and yours be filled with peace, love, gratitude and joy as we continue in this blessed time of year.
